Return
We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return, you can contact us at alt.japansk@gmail.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
You can always contact us for any return question at alt.japansk@gmail.com.
Damages and issues: Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items: Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges: The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Refunds: We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
Right of withdrawal
The consumer can withdraw from the agreement without giving any reason within 14 days after the item and the right of withdrawal form has been received. If we do not fulfill our duty to provide information, for example failing to submit the mandatory withdrawal period form upon delivery of the goods, the deadline is extended to three months. If the conditions for the right of withdrawal are met, we are obliged to reimburse all actual costs that are charged to the consumer. According to the Right of Withdrawal Act, you have some duties and tasks. These can be found in the following.
- The Act only applies to consumer purchases. The right of withdrawal can therefore not be used by companies or others who have acted as part of business activities (cf. the Right of Withdrawal Act § 6, point e).
- The right of withdrawal does not apply if the item can not be returned in approximately the same condition and quantity, and damage or deterioration is due to negligence or lack of care on the part of the consumer. (cf. the Right of Withdrawal Act § 12 point a). Food must be returned in unopened packaging.
- The return costs are borne by the consumer (cf. the Right of Withdrawal Act § 15 first paragraph).
If you do not pick up the package, you have not fulfilled the requirements in the Right of Withdrawal Act §11 and §13. You then lose the right to withdraw from the agreement. We will then charge you a fee nominal shipping cost round trip.

Complaint
The Consumer Purchase Act of 21 June 2002 applies to your right of complaint. This Act is applicable to all goods you purchase as a private individual after 1 July 2002. It is important to note that you have a statutory right to make a complaint about defects in a product within two years of purchasing it, this is referred to as the "reklamasjon" period. However, this does not apply to consumable or hygiene products due to their specific nature.
If the item you purchased is not in accordance with what you agreed upon or what is outlined under the Act, the item is considered to have a defect. In such cases, you can demand that the seller redeliver, rectify the error, offer a price reduction, cancel the purchase, and/or provide compensation.
Please note that not all issues with a product constitute a defect under the Consumer Purchase Act. Faults that are due to wear and tear, or faults resulting from improper or excessively heavy use, are not deemed to be defects. If the seller determines that these conditions caused the problem, you, the buyer, will be responsible for the cost of repair.
NB! The seller can only charge you for repair or inspection if it was agreed upon in advance and if the fault is attributable to you.
If you find a defect, it should be reported to the seller within a reasonable time after you discovered or should have discovered it. The complaint period is at least two months from the time you discovered the defect.
You must lodge your complaint no later than two years after you received the product. For products or parts of them that are expected to last significantly longer in normal use, the complaint period extends to five years. If you don't lodge your complaint within these timeframes, you forfeit your right to claim the defect.
A defect that appears within six months after you received the item (usually the delivery date) is presumed to have been present at the time of risk transfer.
