Easy Preparation:
Boil plenty of water in a large saucepan.
Add desired amount of noodles and cook for approximately 8-10 minutes, depending on desired firmness. Stir gently to separate the noodles.
Drain the water. Rinse briefly in cold water if you are going to serve them cold, otherwise you can put them directly in a hot soup broth.
Serve in a hot soup (kake udon), cold with a dipping sauce (zaru udon), or in a stir-fry (yaki udon).
