My Hero Academia is an anime television series adapted from the manga of the same name by Kōhei Horikoshi. The adaptation was announced in Weekly Shonen Jump and is produced by Bones with a creative team led by director Kenji Nagasaki, screenwriter Yōsuke Kuroda, character designer Yoshihiko Umakoshi, who is also responsible for the animation, and composer Yuki Hayashi.
The story focuses on Izuku Midoriya, a boy without superpowers in a world where such powers are common. Despite this, he dreams of becoming a superhero. After being recognized for his potential by the world's greatest hero, All Might, Izuku receives All Might's powers and is admitted to a famous school for future superheroes.
